Our Program
High Hopes Preschool is a play-based private program for children 2 to 5 years of age, offering flexible enrollment options ranging from 2 to 5 days a week. We utilize the Christian centered "WEE Learn" curriculum as a foundation for weekly themes and activities used in the classroom. Our students are also exposed to Bible based lessons in Chapel, and have Music each week. Friday students get the added bonus of creative movement activities in PE.
Our Leadership Team consists of a Board of Advisors who are members of Highpoint Fellowship. All members are dedicated, family oriented individuals who share a strong belief in the advantages of a Christian education for every child. The Board meets regularly to pray and seek God's direction for our Preschool. The Preschool operates under the loving guidance of our Director - Nina Peña. Nina has several years of experience in childcare management and also serves as Highpoint Fellowship's Children's Pastor.

The Fours are considered our Pre-K classes. The focus and intent in the Pre-K classrooms is to help prepare your child for Kindergarten through encouraging emotional and social development, while still keeping the focus on what four year-olds thrive on - play! The Fours learn writing basics through exposure to the widely recognized Handwriting Without Tears® curriculum. They are also introduced to age-appropriate science, math, language, and social based skills. But the primary purpose is for students to develop a love of learning through an abundance of playful fun!
There is a maximum of 12 children per 4's class. Each of the 2 classrooms have a lead teacher and there is 1 assistant teacher that supports the Pre-K program.

CHAPEL & MUSIC
High Hopes students get to experience chapel on Mondays and Tuesdays each week. During this precious time, they are exposed to age-appropriate bible lessons, kids worship songs that include dynamic movements, and fun games that reinforce their learning - all to encourage growth in their love for God and His creation. Students also learn basic prayers and a new memory verse each month.
Music is on Wednesdays and Thursdays. During this time, students learn color songs, get a taste of the very basics of ASL, and are introduced to Spanish vocabulary. They are also exposed to music fundamentals, like beat and rhythm.
Physical education
Friday students get to have lots of creative movement fun in PE with Miss Erin! Miss Erin is great at keeping physical activities engaging for the kiddos in each age group, as well as encouraging dynamic gross motor movement - all of which help to foster a developing desire and early love for physical exercise. Studies have also proven that gross motor activities are vital to the development of cognitive areas of the young brain!
